Robert is an explorer and lover of life in all its many facets. He is the proud father of two wonderful young adults. He made his home in central Toronto and has since found his own bit of heaven on Salt Spring Island off Vancouver Island.

Robert combines wisdom gained through diverse careers in Architecture, finance and fine art and coaching with his love for people and authentic self-expression. He is thriving as a Workflow and Productivity coach, simplifying work and finding extra time for his clients so they can move “from chaos to genius”™, eliminate overwhelm, command time and spend more hours working and living in their genius zone.

Since Robert is also a genius host, he is currently in his element welcoming hundreds to his restaurant on Salt Spring.

My “Insight Portrait” was painted before Sandy and I spent any time in real communication together! It is testimony to her insightful skill and depth of observation that she captures and expresses so much of who I am in this painting. My wonderful portrait is a constant reminder that I do radiate my presence out into the world – that I am seen.

Magic Act

This title comes as close as anything to describing Robert’s genius. Another possible title would be “Brilliance, Left and Right”. Two terms that initially reflect aspects of Robert are drama and contrast. These elements are shown by the free flowing sweep of the cape and the contrasting feel of structure and order in the colourful rectangular shapes.

Robert creates magical experiences by combining BIG all-encompassing ideas and polishing them off with the finest details. The word brilliance describes Robert’s exquisite execution, but it also is a word that alludes to his quick wit. Robert is equally agile in body and mind. Surrendering to the wisdom of the body can be a relief to calm galloping thoughts.

Beauty and sensuality appear to have an important role in Robert’s life. Robert has a sensibility that is rich and diverse and embraces the value of aesthetics. He regularly helps others to discover and include the pleasures of a more engaged and creative way of living. Focus, drive and determination are three other traits that round out the package.

What I Know For Sure

“I have learned that the presence of colour in our world can change everything. I used not to think about colour too much. Now, as I surround myself with it (and wear more colourful clothes), I feel more vibrant and connected to friends and clients, to the world and to my experience of life each day.”

Jan and Jen have been business partners since 1980. They know exactly what their business is all about and what their customers want and need from them. Their catering and restaurant endeavour is built on quality – quality ingredients prepared with attention to detail. They have weathered a lot of change over the years – change in location, change in the size of the business and they are always ready to see what else is around the corner to do things that will suit the ever changing needs of the people that depend on Stars for entertaining and business catering.

Joie de Vivre

Jen is the perfect host. People look forward to her sincere greeting and seek her out to lift up their spirits. She is warm, empathetic, kind and honest… someone you can trust with your life. Jen not only can cook spicy dishes, but she also is one spicy dish. Jen is a hot chili or curry dish and definitely not oatmeal. She is fun, passionate and always just as saucy as the reds and oranges in this image. If there happen to be three or four people around, Jen can turn that into a party. She works hard, but is still the first person to have good time. Her high energy isn’t restricted to party time. It’s a part of how she lives. Everything counts and she naturally lives life to the fullest.

While she might not admit to it, Jen is extremely creative. Her creativity and wonderful eye for detail show up in so many ways … in merchandising, in interior design, in fashion, or in cooking and presenting a dish to a hungry soul. She is like the conductor who orchestrates and sets up the whole scene so that others can enjoy the symphony. Her joy in expressing herself spills over and the end result is that she makes the world around her more elegant and beautiful.

There is a labyrinth shape in the image that refers to the order and serenity that come from getting things right. Jen is precise in how she does things. “If you are going to do something, do it right or don’t do it at all.” This side of Jen counterbalances her passion and shows up in her sometimes more conservative approach. The final word is that Jen creates environments that are open, safe, beautiful and comfortable. She is the master of her own domain and leaves lots of room for others to do the same for themselves.

Full of life, always curious, creative, interested and interesting – that’s Jen.
