A Perfect Circle

A circle is a symbol of wholeness, of something universal and ultimately reminiscent of feminine power and energy. Mariflor’s manner may be seen by others as being feminine, graceful, easy-going and traditional … all characteristics which relate to the circle.

However this view does not consider Mariflor’s inner reality. Her core is not soft: rather the word ‘definite’ describes the certainty that if Mariflor desires a certain result that is exactly what she will make happen. Mariflor understands the power of intention and if she wants something she will move mountains to achieve that end. The deep intense red colour on the edges of this painting represents that ‘Steel Magnolia’ aspect that contributes to Mariflor’s success story.
